A very brief history: In 1883, Dave Brunswick built and opened the "Arcade Clothing House" at 113 S. Washington Avenue here in Wellington. In 1891, Clem Spruance took over operations; in 1914, after Spruance had financial difficulties, Milton Barrett opened the next Men's store. In 1921, Barrett Clothing was sold to Spear and Munro. Mr. Munro continued until about 1959 when Howard Frazer bought the store, with his assistant Jeff Hill taking over around 1984. Today, Sumner County Clothiers is starting the seventh chapter in fine Men's Clothing, still in the same location.

We have begun to move Frazer's former inventory into the space recently occupied by Annie Oakley's Western Wear. Watch this space as we begin to add merchandise!
